CAMPGROUND CLEANUP
Friends of Fort Townsend are getting ready for visits on April 1 st from our camping guests at the gem next door--Fort Townsend State Park. We will be cleaning up the campground for them on Saturday, March 14th beginning at 9am.

Our speaker will be Rosalee Walz, Chair of Chemakum Tribal Services, and an elder, historian, and storyteller. Her
topic is Still Here: Old Fort Townsend Then and Now. She will speak about Chemakum people, who are still
here despite accounts to the contrary, and about their history, weaving it into the broader story of Fort Townsend
and the Olympic Peninsula

Friends Barn Clean-Up
The area around the restrooms and the Friends Barn are in need of cleanup to prepare for weddings in April. We will be raking into piles for the tractor to pick up. Bring a rake and gloves. Many thanks!
